Follow the instructions (the YouTube video is useful). Advisable to determine how long to keep the solution on for your needs, so test a tile and use a shoe sole to determine when its suitable for you. Useful to add the recommended baking soda to the water bucket to stop the etching process when the time has elapsed. Results are excellent!
My baby slipped and fell on our large format tiles, so I was looking for a solution. This did it! I had to let it sit for about 16 minutes (tested it out first), but wow. No more slipping!
Our extremely slick ceramic tile floors are now perfectly walkable, even when wet or with wet shoes. Just in time for pool season, too. I was researching traction paints as an option instead of replacing the whole floor when I ran across Stone Grip and thought it was worth a try.
The tiles look exactly the same as before, but now there's real traction. They are still glossy, but I can tell a difference when I dust mop and definitely with wet shoes. The white tiles look exactly the same. The black tiles may have a tiny bit less gloss, but it's not noticeable unless you know what you are looking for and look at them from one particular angle. The floor has gone from safety hazard to just right with one 15 minute application.
Application was easy, just follow the instructions. Clean the floor, spread the product with the applicator, let it sit 15 minutes (or whatever your test determines), spray the neutralizer, mop it up. It's really that simple. I 100% recommend and would buy again.
My contractor will apply, but probably not for a few months.
