Greg Cohen - President and CEO

Greg is a native Texan and currently lives in Dallas. Greg received his bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. Upon graduation, he took a full-time job at IMaCS, a computer software company. In the evenings, Greg pursued a Master of Accounting degree from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Completing his Masters he accepted a position with Ernst and Young in Audit and Assurance Services, where he worked with several large SEC clients. This led to his interest in business management. He was later offered and accepted a position with America's Auto Auction, where he worked directly with the President/CEO and was a key player in growing a very successful business. During his tenure, Greg learned the 'ins and outs' of managing a start-up company and was bitten by the entrepreneurship bug. He eventually left AAA to start his own company.

In 2008, Greg founded SoftTec Products, introducing a patented foam flooring product that was much safer and more slip resistant than traditional tiles. The product concept was exceptional, but the manufacturing struggled with quality issues. Along the way, Greg learned a great deal about the floor safety market. He realized making existing floors more slip resistant was a more cost-effective and practical alternative to floor replacement. To that end, Greg worked with a chemist to formulate and develop Stone Grip, a chemical solution that 'magically' transformed existing slippery tiles into much safer, slip-resistant flooring. It accomplishes this transformation without altering the color, sheen, or texture of the original tile. The product was so effective that it became the focus of his company. Greg renamed the company SlipDoctors and began working to build products specifically focused on floor and bathtub safety. Over time, SlipDoctors became quickly recognized expert and industry leader in floor safety.

The product line expanded from Stone Grip to over 100 product variations with options for every type of surface. Sales revenue has doubled year-over-year. The market has expanded from regional to international in scope, with over 100 Solution Providers marketing services using SlipDoctors products worldwide. Its 100,000+ customers include an impressive list of major corporations, hotel and restaurant chains, sports franchises, resorts, hospitals, senior living facilities, and government departments all over the world. Greg also taken an active role in National Slip and Fall standards development committees. He currently serves as Committee Chairman for the ANSI/NFSI B101.4 standard, servicing safety standards for bathtubs, showers, and pool decks. His committee is represented by major insurance companies, bathtub manufacturers, and engineering companies working together to develop new industry construction and conformance standards. In a short period of time, Greg has become one of the key leaders in this evolving industry. He is highly respected for his knowledge, integrity, and leadership skills. His philosophy and management style are practiced by SlipDoctors, which has developed an outstanding reputation for product quality and customer service.
