  • Dependent upon base coating rates

Our bonding agent is exclusively designed to maximize the adhesion of coatings and paints on hard-to-coat surfaces and those with an increased risk of peeling or chipping. When mixed into the first coating batch, this bond adhesion promoter is recommended for increasing the functional life, corrosion resistance, appearance and sealer qualities of SlipDoctors’ products.

This product can be used in oil-modified urethanes, waterborne urethanes, moisture-cure urethanes, acid-cure coatings, UV curable coatings, epoxies, acrylic sealers, stains and paints. It is designed to increase the life and function of coatings and to reduce any bonding and adhesion problems. It can be used when overcoating previously sealed or coated surfaces, floors that cannot be sanded or etched, and floors that have a questionable level of coating failure risk.

Our bonding agent can be used with most coatings for adhesion on metal and granite surfaces, high-sheen porcelain, terrazzo, composite decking, concrete, and other surfaces that are hard, smooth, polished or glossy. It will not alter the colour or sheen of coatings.

TDS information was very helpful and easy to follow. Product easy to mix into epoxy. Time will tell how well it actually works and holds up.

So far so good!

We have a wheelchair ramp with composite decking that gets very slippery when wet. We bought the Slip Doctors Floor Grip and bonding agent. It is sooooo much better now to walk on when the decking is wet. It has only been a week since application, so I’m hesitant to give a comprehensive review because I’d like to be able to say these same words about the product after lots of use and changes of season. Otherwise, we are thrilled to have found a product that met our needs with easy application.

Living room floor, 1957 narrow oak boards

I originally used this product in our stairs 3 years ago and can't see any where and tear after now. Used it now on where we are moving because of good results. Did not use the anti slip additive. The floor looks gorgeous! Applied with a roller as instructed. Wet sanded the original finish prior to application. Everything worked well including the citrus cleaner. Looking forward to years of a great finish. Will do the other rooms in the future.
