NFSI Hosts International Symposium On Slip, Trip, and Fall Prevention

The National Floor Safety Institute will hold its second International Symposium on Slip, Trip and Fall Prevention on September 25-26, 2023, at the Hurst Conference Center in Texas.

With 46 speakers and four industry-specific learning tracks, this event spanning two days aims to bring attention to the increasing issue of accidental slips, trips, and falls.

The following areas are planned to be explored:

  • Retail/Grocery/Public Facilities
  • Legal/Regulation/Insurance/Risk Management
  • Facilities Maintenance/Housekeeping/Janitorial

Mr. John Quiñones, ABC News Veteran, Creator & Host of What Would You Do? has been chosen as the keynote speaker for the upcoming event and will discuss the media’s view of safety.

About the National Floor Safety Institute

The National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI) was founded in 1997. It is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help prevent slips, trips, and falls through research, education and standards development.

The NFSI offers a large range of services, including educational training, independent product testing and certification, and standards development. Over the years, the NFSI authored safety standards for the prevention of slips, trips and falls.
